Belgaum: Residents of adkur village are in a state of shock and panic because one tiger was spotted near the village.
Adkur is a small village which is 40 kms away from Belgaum near Chandgad. The residents of surrounding villagers are panic striken after Raju Chougle spotted the big cat in the fields of the village.
Raju was on his bike commuting between Ibrahimpur and Adkur when he spotted the tiger and captured the image of beautiful tiger in his camera. The news about the presence of the Big cat spread like wildfire in Adkur and surrounding towns.
The forest department at Gadinglaj has been alerted about the movement of the big cat. The tiger must have strayed away from the nearby jungles. Adkur is just 40 kms away from Belgaum.
People should be cautious and allow the forest department to plan and mitigate the smooth movement of the big cat.
These are bhimgad tigers which have crossed into tilari forests & further into gadinglaj areas, These are old tiger & elephant corridors, due to habitat destruction they are straying out. also conservation in karnataka has pushed some wildlife in Maharastra. But these regions are old corridors.
